    Three female journalists killed by gunmen in Afghanistan in latest wave of violence

    A journalist’s family members were shot death in Ghor province, Afghanistan
    8 Sobh(transected by RAWA):Security sources in Ghor province confirmed that five members of the family of Bismillah Adel, a journalist who was recently killed, were shot by gunmen.An unnamed government source in Ghor, speaking on condition of anonymity, told 8 Sobh newspaper that three members of the journalist’s family were killed and two others were injured in the incident.      Full news...

    Aljazeera: Afghan authorities have said they are investigating a weekend air raid which local officials say killed more than a dozen civilians, including children.Provincial officials said 15 people died on Saturday night when a rocket struck a house in Khashrod district of Nimroz province.     NBC News: A car bomb blast that rocked Afghanistan's capital Sunday morning killed at least nine people, according to the Afghan Interior Ministry.Interior Minister Masoud Andarabi told reporters at the site of the attack that the attack wounded around 20 other people, including a member of parliament, Khan Mohammad Wardak.     Tolo News: The US Special Inspector for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) in a new report quoting the Resolute Support says 876 civilians were killed and 1,685 were wounded this from July 1 to September 30, 2020.     Afghan Watchdog: Average Of 16 Civilians Killed, Wounded Every Day In Past Six Months
    Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty: The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) says that on average 16 civilians have been killed or wounded every day across the country in the first half of 2020. A total of 1,213 civilians have been killed and 1,744 others wounded in 880 separate security incidents during the first six months of the year, according to the AIHRC’s report on civilian casualties published on July 14. The report said civilian casualties have dropped by 11 percent compared to the same period last year.      Full news...
