Young Woman Shot Dead by Unidentified Gunmen in the Center of Bamiyan Province

A large number of women and girls in this province have been repeatedly insulted, humiliated, and beaten by Taliban

The incident took place around 11:00 am today (Sunday, September 25th) near Noorband Qala Hotel, adjacent to the central market of Bamiyan.

A reliable local source, who does not want to reveal his identity due to security threats, says that the victim’s name was Halima and she was a resident of Shahidan village in the center of Bamiyan province.

The cause of this young woman’s death is still unknown. The Taliban have not yet said anything about this incident.

Halima was killed by unknown armed men in the center of Bamyan city, while a large number of women and girls in this province have been repeatedly insulted, humiliated, and beaten by Taliban virtue promoters for not observing the hijab required by this group.
