A family in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province claims that Taliban forces killed a teenage boy and wounded two others.
Salahuddin, a member of the family, said that the incident took place last night (Saturday, April 24) in the seventh district of Jalalabad.
According to him, a 15-year-old boy, his name was Adel, was killed in a Taliban shooting.
The source said he was killed and two others were riding in a rickshaw.
Confirming the teenager's death, Zahir Mubarez, security chief of the Taliban police headquarters in Nangarhar, said Taliban forces said he had been killed by gunmen.
Mubarez added that four Taliban soldiers had been arrested in connection with the incident and that an investigation had been launched into the incident.
There have been cases of civilians being killed by Taliban forces before.
