Afghanistan- Two young girls found dead in Parwan

Afghanistan is one of the countries, where women face a lot of challenges due to drastic cultural taboos

KABUL: The dead bodies of two young girls were found in central Parwan province, local officials said on Saturday.

Provincial Governor's Spokesman, Wahida Shahkar said these bodies were found Friday night in Toghbirdi area of capital city, Chairkar. 'One of the girls is 16 and another one is 23 years old,' she added.

The cause behind the incident is unclear so far. Shahkar said that an investigation launched to find the culprits.

Located in the north of capital Kabul, Parwan is among insecure provinces, where the Taliban are active and carry out attacks against the government officials.

Afghanistan is one of the countries, where women face a lot of challenges due to drastic cultural taboos that give women less freedom and rights to make decision about their lives.
