Provincial Council head of Farah, Farid Bakhtawar, said that people are being bought and sold as suicide attackers from inside the province's district of Bakwa, turning Farah into the insurgents' main western base.
According to Bakhtawar, these people bought as suicide attackers are assigned a specific target throughout the country. He stressed that if an operation is not conducted soon to eliminate the activity in Farah, the threats will disperse throughout the western zone of the country from Bakwa district.
"The district of Bakwa is the center for weapons, dealing drugs, and the Taliban's main base in the west zone," he said.
Head of Farah's Peace Council Amir Mohammad Ayoubi added that currently more than "800 terrorist groups" were active in the province that were battling against the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF).
"These 800 terrorist groups are all active under the Taliban shadow governor and the district shadow governors," Ayoubi said. "This is there field."
Despite reports of activity in Bakwa, acting Police Chief of Farah Dil Jan Khakrizi said that police intelligence is not aware of such buying and selling of people for suicide attacks.
Furthermore, the officials said Daesh group had also increased their activities in the province with recruiting 400 residents.
