RAWA's aid to earthquake victims in Nahrin

On March 25, 2002, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake devastated the districts of Nahrin and Burkha in Baghlan Province in northern Afghanistan in the Hindu Kush mountains, killing 3000-4000 people, injuring over 5,000 people, destroying some 1,500 homes and rendering 20,000 people homeless.
On Apr.15 a RAWA team visited the area and distributed emergency aid among the most needy families who have lost everything. We have planned to undertake similar programs in near future.
