Pakistani police tried to stop the demo in the beginning but demonstrators resisted and in a clash with police finally police was forced to allow them to go ahead.


Police tore the banners and placards of RAWA


More than 1,000 women participated in the demo.


Police resorted to teargas shelling and baton charge of RAWA activists and the Taliban were still pelting stones on the demonstrators and in fact the Police joined the Taliban to crush RAWA activists.


A TV crew of Channel 4 filmed the entire scene.
