The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors applauds the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA) for their courageous efforts on behalf of women’s rights and the promotion of a secular, democratic government in Afghanistan. On the occasion of the visit to San Francisco, by RAWA’s international representative, the Board expresses its admiration for RAWA’s work in educating the organizing Afghan women in the face of fierce oppression, and we extend our heist commendation.
