Dear Friend,
RAWA, as the only voice for the suppressed and enchained women of Afghanistan, will celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, 2000 in Pakistan by arranging a big function better than last year in which more than a thousand people had participated.
People around the globe should know that according to Amnesty International, Afghanistan remains the world's largest forgotten tragedy. Its people, especially women, are being tortured and humiliated in a way unparalleled in other fundamentalist-ruled countries. RAWA is determined to publicly expose and condemn this situation. But we need your help to make this function an impressive and effective event.
So many women in Kabul and some other cities are eager to participate in the function to whom we also give priority, but most of them cannot afford to pay for transportation. The major hurdles we face lie in transporting participants from many remote cities and providing their accommodation for a few days. Your donation can help cover these costs and support the participants in their efforts to help Afghanistan.
Because our bank will deduct $21 from each check or money order received. Donations up to $100 should be sent in CASH, via REGISTERED mail to:
